Pilotage procedures: Pilot and Harbormaster can be contacted by VHF Channel 16 by radiotelephone on 2738 Mhz. Pilot boards approximately 1 mile south of the buoy. Dailight entrance and departure only. Pilot station: 1 mile from seabuoy Towage: None available, can be ordered from Santo Domingo at a cost of RD$40,0000. Working hours: 0800-1200 / 1200-1400 Monday through Friday. Sat. 0800-1200 Equipment: FERQUIDO (fertilizer) uses small grabs at the en of the ship’s gear, and can work up to 4 gangs. Depending on the number and capacity of vessel’s gear, they achieve an average rate of discharge of 1,000 to 2,000MT/day Storage: Open storage available. Covered storage – 1 shed (not in use). Water: Due to low water pressure and limited extension of pipeline, a pump and long water hose are required. These can sometimes be rented locally. Alternatively, fresh water san be supplied by tank truck. Bunkers: Not available Ship repair: Only very small minor repairs are available. All other items must be sent to Santo Domingo.
